Cullman, AL is located about an hour north of Birmingham and about 40-45 minutes south of Huntsville right off of Hwy. 65. According to the 2010 census it boasts about 17,000 people. If you ask folks what Cullman is known for they would say the Ave Maria Grotto and its German heritage.
I’ve come to learn that the town is rich in traditions, very friendly and someone is usually willing to help you out. Demographics will tell you the town is infested with families from 24-35 years old making up the majority. Basically explains that most folks go away for college and come back to raise their kids. It is a great place to do just that.
It’s a quaint town with old buildings and new, a vibrant business community that continues to grow and if you want a cheeseburger, fried chicken, or southern BBQ you can probably find it no matter where you are in town.
